William Harla, Partner and Executive Committee Member at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, recently won a significant New Jersey Appellate Court decision on behalf of his clients Benihana Meadowlands Corporation, ERC 16W Limited Partnership and Meadowlands Management, L.L.C. The decision affirmed Harla’s arguments that supported the NJ Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s right to issue Special Concessionaire Permits, in lieu of traditional liquor licenses, to tenants operating on state-owned property. This is the latest in a long line of victories in this matter for the DeCotiis firm. “This is certainly an important decision and a complete victory not only for the Xanadu project, but because the appellate court clarified the legal right of the state to issue special concessionaire permits for tenants on state-owned property,” said Harla. Also representing the clients in this matter are DeCotiis partners Jerrold Binney and Thomas Abbate. Please join DeCotiis, FitzPatrick & Cole in congratulating William Harla and his team on their appellate court victory.
