We are proud to announce that Pat Schuber, who has served as Of Counsel with DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin since 2003, has been nominated to serve on the Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of NY & NJ by Governor Chris Christie.
The Port Authority provides oversight to the region’s trade and transportation networks and is the nation’s first bi-state agency. Upon Senate confirmation, Pat will serve a six-year term on the Board while continuing to serve as Of Counsel with DeCotiis.
Mr. Schuber is a former three-term County Executive of Bergen County, New Jersey, a former Mayor of Bogota and a former ten-year member of the New Jersey State Assembly. He also served in active duty in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1973 and as an Army Reservist from 1973 to 1984.
He is a Senior Lecturer with the New College of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also serves on the Boards of Trustees at Children's Aid and Family Services, Inc. and at Bergen Catholic High School.
Please join DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin in congratulating Pat on this well deserved appointment. We are certain that Pat will perform his duties as a commissioner, as he has always done, with honor and distinction.
This marks the second high-level governmental appointment of a DeCotiis attorney in recent weeks. Former DeCotiis partner Wayne Hasenbalg was named as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Planning to New Jersey Governor Christie.
