Ms. Shotmeyer’s practice crosses several disciplines and includes work in the areas of renewable energy, environmental law, insurance, community development and civil litigation. She has experience in matters involving the Tort Claims Act and HUD laws and regulations. Ms. Shotmeyer also has experience with work relative to HOME programs and CDBG matters and dealing with COAH and affordable housing development.
Currently, a significant amount of her time is spent working with the Green Practice Group on the structuring of county-wide renewable energy programs being implemented throughout the State. Since 2010, DeCotiis’ Green Practice Group has assisted public and private clients with the procurement, financing and installation of over 24 mega-watts of solar projects, at over 100 public and private facilities.
Ms. Shotmeyer received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Science/Technical Writing from Lehigh University in 2005, where she graduated with Highest Honors. While at Lehigh, she was awarded membership into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Ms. Shotmeyer received her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall Law School in 2010. While attending law school, she interned for the Honorable Claire Cecchi of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in Newark. Ms. Shotmeyer is a New Jersey native and a lifetime Bergen County resident.
