Daniel Mann joined DeCotiis in 2010 as an associate in the firm’s Teaneck office.

Following law school, Mr. Mann clerked for the Honorable Frederick R. McDaniel, the Honorable Miriam H. Span and the Honorable John S. Triarsi, judges of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union County. Mr. Mann is a co-founder and one of the initial research fellows of Seton Hall University School of Law’s Center for Policy and Research, where he remains a senior fellow. His collaborative research and authorship at the Center for Policy and Research has been cited by and included in the Congressional Record of the House Armed Services Committee, the House Appropriations Committee, the Senate Armed Services Committee, the Senate Judiciary Committee and a European Parliament resolution.

Among the Center’s high-profile projects are the world renowned “Guantánamo Reports”. The Reports were developed by systematically analyzing data in over 100,000 pages of government documents procured through the Freedom of Information Act. The reports have been cited by media throughout the world, including numerous television and radio networks, newspapers such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Wall St. Journal, Toronto Star, Guardian (UK), Times of India, Jerusalem Post; magazines such as Time, Newsweek, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, Harpers, The Nation, and The Economist; as well as many Web-based news sources.

Before attending law school, Mr. Mann worked as a research analyst at CoStar Group, Inc. (NASDAQ – CSGP), in Bethesda, Maryland.  Mr. Mann was named a National Merit Commended Scholar and holds a B.A. in Government and International Politics with a dual concentration in American Government and International Relations from George Mason University, where he was admitted as an Honors Scholar, and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a Chancellor's Scholar.
