Mr. Lagana practices in the area of land use development specializing in representing municipal boards and private development clients. Daniel currently represents the Borough of Paramus Planning Board and the Township of Wayne Board of Adjustment.
Mr. Lagana is also an active member of the Bergen County Bar Association, where he has previously served as President of the Bergen County Bar Association-Young Lawyers' Division from 2014-2015. Mr. Lagana also served as Trustee to the Bergen County Bar Association from 2015-2016.
He also serves as a County Committee Member for the Bergen County Democratic Party.
Mr. Lagana was previously a member of the Borough of Paramus Board of Adjustment, where he served as Vice-Chairman until April 2018.
Mr. Lagana also has significant experience in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation. He was recognized as a 2019 Rising Star® by Super Lawyers for those attorneys who are under the age of 40 for his work in insurance defense. Daniel has lectured for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education ("NJICLE") where he has presented on issues involving pharmaceutical claims, as well as claims involving the interplay between the Automobile Cost Reduction Act ("AICRE") and Medicare. Daniel was also a member of the Hudson County Bar Association.
Prior to joining DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP, Mr. Lagana represented GEICO, serving as in-house-counsel for the company's PIP department.
Prior to serving with GEICO, Mr. Lagana was Law Clerk to Honorable William R. DeLorenzo, Jr., Superior Court, Family Division, Bergen County Vicinage.
