His areas of practice include Municipal Law, Real Estate and Land Use Law, Public Procurement and Contracting and Redevelopment projects. He is a transactional and land use attorney representing private applicants from property acquisitions to the stages of development through the closing transactions, as well as municipal land use agencies in reviewing and approving development applications.
Mr. Gordon currently serves as the Attorney for the Township of North Brunswick, borough Attorney for the Borough of Emerson and as the Assistant Attorney for the Township of Marlboro. Mr. Gordon has previously served as the Director of Law for the City of Rahway, the Assistant Attorney for the Town of Morristown, the Township Attorney for the Township of Hazlet and as Acting Attorney for the Township of Marlboro. In addition, he has served as the Planning Board Attorney for the Borough of Spotswood, the Borough of Carteret and the Township of East Brunswick. He has also served as the Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of Keyport.
He has handled Redevelopment Projects in the Township of North Brunswick, City of Rahway, Township of Marlboro and City of Linden from the designation of area in need of redevelopment stages through Redevelopment Agreements and Payment in Lieu of Taxes ("PILOT") agreements.
His private sector experience includes the representation of Red Bank Affordable Housing Corp., the Halpern Organization, the Kramer Group, Olympia and York Development Corp. and New Jersey Steel Corp. His public sector land use clients include the Planning Boards of the Borough of Spotswood, Borough of Carteret and Township of East Brunswick.

Mr. Gordon received his B.A. from Montclair State College in 1975. He was awarded his J.D. from New York Law School in 1978. He has been a New Jersey resident for 45 years.
