Biography

John J. Lyons is an Associate at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole, and Giblin, LLP, where he is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group. Prior to joining DeCotiis, Mr. Lyons served as a Judicial Term Law Clerk to the Honorable Lourdes Lucas, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. During his clerkship, Mr. Lyons drafted opinions on various civil and criminal legal issues, conducted legal research, and mediated claims filed in the Special Civil Part of the Superior Court.

Mr. Lyons received his B.S. in Labor and Employment Relations with minors in Dispute Management and Resolution (“DMR”) and Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University. Thereafter, Mr. Lyons attended Seton Hall University School of Law where he received his J.D. While attending law school, Mr. Lyons served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Stephen L. Petrillo, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage and later joined DeCotiis as a law clerk.
