DeCotiis’ Partner Arlene Quiñones Perez Appointed to Chair NJSBA Judicial & Prosecutorial Appointments Committee

The New Jersey State Bar Association announced the appointment of DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP Partner Arlene Quiñones Perez to Chair its Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee (“JPAC”) for the 2019-2020 term. The Committee plays an important and valuable role in the NJSBA, ensuring that only the most accomplished, qualified and reliable candidates serve as judges and prosecutors in the state.

“The appointment of well-qualified judges and prosecutors is an essential element of a properly functioning justice system,” said Joseph M. DeCotiis, firm managing partner. “I have no doubt that Arlene’s considerable expertise will be put to good use supporting the NJSBA and providing keen input on the Governor’s nominees.”

“It’s a great honor to contribute to such a vital component of New Jersey’s legal system,” added Perez. “I’d like to congratulate NJSBA President Evelyn Padin, who is the first Latina president of the association. Diverse leadership is instrumental in ensuring diversity at all levels of an organization. Evelyn is a true leader and advocate, and I am honored to serve under her leadership.”
