DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP is proud to announce that statewide business publication NJBIZ has chosen firm partner Vincent M. Giblin as a finalist for its 2019 General Counsel of the Year awards, in the Nonprofit or Government category. The General Counsel of the Year Award celebrates the state’s most dynamic General Counsels and Chief Legal Officers. Nominees were evaluated by a panel of independent judges based on career accomplishments, organizational contributions, legal victories and community and professional service. Winners in each of the six categories will be announced at a breakfast awards ceremony on May 29th.

Mr. Giblin is an experienced and skilled trial attorney, regularly appearing as trial counsel in state and federal court. He has handled a wide variety of complex matters and litigation with a deft hand, including white collar criminal defense, compliance issues, class action lawsuits, First Amendment Constitutional matters, international business torts, minority shareholder actions, and trade secret litigation. Prior to joining DeCotiis, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of New Jersey, and received special recognition from the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Federal Bureaus of Investigation for his efforts.

“Vincent is a great asset to this firm, and one of the greatest trial attorneys in New Jersey,” said Joseph M. DeCotiis, co-managing partner. “I am glad to see Vincent is receiving the recognition he deserves. We are all pulling for him in May.”
