Announcing New Contract Partner Michael Augello

DeCotiis would like to welcome Michael Augello to the team. Michael will be joining DeCotiis as a new Contract Partner in the Municipal and Labor and Employment Law Groups.

Mr. Augello’s areas of practice include municipal law, litigation, education law, labor and employment law. Mr. Augello has served as assistant general counsel to municipalities and public school districts in New Jersey. His experience in municipal and education law includes contract procurement, land use, personnel matters, shared services, and employment contracts. Mr. Augello has appeared before the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey and New York representing both public and private clients in defense of claims arising out of municipal, constitutional, employment, contract, and insurance law.

Mr. Augello is a 2003 graduate of George Washington University where he received his B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing. While completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Augello served as a staff writer for The Hatchet, the University’s independent newspaper. He also served as the research and writing assistant to Suzannah Lessard, the recipient of the 2002-2003 Jenny McKean Moore Fellowship for creative non-fiction.

Mr. Augello graduated from New England School of Law in 2007. Prior to entering private practice, he served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert C. Wilson, J.S.C. in the Bergen County Superior Court. Mr. Augello is a graduate of the Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court and has lived in New Jersey for thirty (30) years.
