Biography
Yevgeniya Gutina is an Associate at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole and Giblin, LLP, where she is a member of the Public Entity Practice Group. She will focus her talents and expertise in the areas of Public Entity and Eminent Domain.
Ms. Gutina graduated from New York Law School in 2023, where she was a member of the Center for Real Estate Studies. She interned at a New York City real estate firm, where she assisted with commercial and residential transactions. Her work included conducting due diligence for property purchases and sales, reviewing restrictive covenants and lien records, drafting and analyzing contracts and lease agreements, calculating guaranty exposures, and supporting closing processes. She also interned at New Jersey-based litigation firms specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice, where she gained additional experience in trial preparation and client advocacy.
After earning her J.D. in 2023, Ms. Gutina joined a boutique law firm in New Jersey. From 2023-2025, she handled a wide range of matters including, contract disputes, regulatory compliance issues, day-to-day operational legal matters, and commercial litigation. In this role she drafted pleadings, engaged in motion practice, and conducted in-depth legal research to support complex cases. She also provided general counsel to startups and mid-sized businesses across diverse industries.
In 2017, Ms. Gutina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies from William Paterson University, where she was a member of Phi Theta Sigma – Honors Law Fraternity and Phi Sigma Alpha – the National Political Science Honor Society. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Public Policy and International Affairs in 2020, graduating cum laude. She also studied abroad at Cambridge University.
Ms. Gutina is fluent in Russian and admitted to practice in New Jersey.
